Last updated 7:50 PM on 8 October 2015

On Tuesday 6th October all students went to The Colo Vale Community Hall to see the re-enactment of The Kangaroo March. We were away from school from 11:00 am until 1:15 pm. It has been 100 years since the original Kangaroo March.

We walked down to The Community Hall in class groups. It was really hot and it took about 20 minutes to get there. When we got to the end of Wattle Street we sat down and had some lunch. It took about 1 hour for the re-enactment of the Kangaroo March to come. There was a horseman dressed in Light Horse Brigade regalia that led the march.

After the Kangaroo marchers passed by we followed them to The Colo Vale Community Hall. Some people who were key figures in organising the event made speeches.

Soon after, we walked back up to the school just in time for recess. It felt even hotter than before. The re-enactment was a really interesting event to see on our first day back to school. I'm glad we were able to participate.
