After 24 years of committed service to Colo Vale PS, Teri Swanbury will retire from the Department of Education and Communities (DEC) on Tuesday 2 April 2015. Teri has an historical and deep family connection to our school. Both of her children also attended Colo Vale PS as children. And indeed, Teri's parents were also part of our school history. Norma Oliver, her mother was the previous school administrative manager, known as the School Secretary, and father Ted was the General Assistant, all those years ago. Much has changed in education during Teri's career with many increasing demands in this new role. Teri has an amazing history with the development of OOSH and the support of the Colo Vale P&C. Teri has also been recognised for her leadership ability by supporting other administrators through coordinating and administrating training at both the local and regional level. We wish Teri a very happy retirement with husband Steve, and look forward to sharing her expertise in the future with some school visits next term. Teri's role will be replaced by Mrs Judi Schofield on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Jenny Duffy on Thursday and Friday, pending a permanent replacement. Good luck Teri! Our staff, students and community will miss you!
